Great schools are built on more than what's included in the school system's basic budget. PTO funding helps bridge that gap - providing teachers with additional resources, expanding academic enrichment, and creating an environment where students are ready and excited to learn. 

Our Discover Ed program, which is run by the wonderful Mrs. Crocker in our Media Center, was entirely funded by PTO donation funds last year. We're excited to say it's been a hit with our students! PTO was also able to offer each teacher a Classroom Excellence Grant because of parent and community donations. These grant funds were then used by our teachers for instructional materials they identified as having the greatest impact on student learning. 

Together our families can invest $30,000 directly back into the educational experience of Big Creek Elementary students!

How will funds be used?

Our 2026 Big Creek Donated Funds will go towards:

• Funding for Playground updates.
  

• New Chromebooks to continue to keep 1-to-1 for every student at Big Creek
  

• Funding PTO's annual teacher grants, which allow teachers to purchase additional educational resources for their classrooms.
• Offsetting the cost of PTO events throughout the year (e.g. Movie Night, Bingo Night, Family Dance, etc.)

Is my donation tax-deductible?

Donations to Big Creek ES PTO, a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization, may be 100% tax-deductible. Please contact us at fundraiser@bigcreekespto.com if you need a donation receipt.

How do I get corporate matching for my donation?

There are many companies who offer matching services. Please contact your employer to see if they will match your donation to our PTO. Click here for printable information.
